Super Bowl Prop Bets: Giants vs. Patriots Wagers Sure to Hit Big

Alex KayJun 7, 2018

The Super Bowl is one of the most exciting games to wager on because of all the prop bets. They range from the standard coin toss to the exotic, such as what color Gatorade (or liquid) will be dumped on the winning team’s head coach.

Here’s a look at some proposition bets that have a great chance to hit big.

The statistics show this is almost guaranteed to happen, regardless of who wins the toss.

Since Tom Brady’s gruesome ACL injury against the Kansas City Chiefs to open the 2008 season, the Patriots have opted to kick on all 28 of the coin tosses they have won.

In that same time period, the Giants have won 35 times and chosen to receive 33 of those.

They chose to kick first in the NFC Championship against the San Francisco 49ers, but that anomaly should not happen again, especially in front of a largely pro-Giants crowd in Indianapolis.

Another Smart Bet: New York Giants To Get First 1st Down of the Game (-200)

If the Patriots kick, as they most likely will, it’s a safe bet to believe the Giants will get at least one first down with that possession.

The G-Men have had two weeks to prepare a script to start this game and you had better believe they want to score first.

Even if that doesn’t happen, their prepared plays should at least garner a first down.

Long Shots

Touchdown on First Offensive Play of the Game (+3500)

This is a risky bet, but could pay off. Teams love to test the opposing secondary early and when they may not be expecting it.

It’s entirely possible both teams attempt to fire off a play-action bomb or Hail Mary pass to start the game.

If you put a small wager on this, it could pay off huge.

No Touchdown in the Game (+15000)

This isn’t likely, but stranger things have happened. The defenses will be motivated to step up and the offenses could get rattled.

At 150-to-1 odds, it’s worth laying a few bucks on.
