WWE Fantasy: NXT 2/21

Michael BroughtonJun 1, 2018

Hey folks and welcome to another edition of NXT Fantasy. Sorry about missing the past few weeks, but there were some serious issues (that I'd rather not get into) that stopped me from completing the show. However, NXT is back now and better than ever!

At the end of the show, please comment with any suggestions, questions and/or criticism. Also, please leave a rating out of 10 (1 being the worst and 10 being the best). Any feedback would be extremely beneficial.

Now onto the show....

The intro rolls and we are ready for WWE NXT!

Opening Segment

1 of 14

MVP comes out alongside Percy Watson to start the night. Montel immediately grabs a mic.

MVP: As most of you know, tonight I will be competing for the NXT Championship. While the match is 1 on 1, I already know that JBL will try to interfere. So I am demanding that both Layfield and Langston are banned from ringside here tonight. Johnny, if you want to prove to me that you are a formidable champion, then beat me without help from your buddies. Sh--

Bells begin to sounds, and JBL comes out alongside Maxine, Big E. Langston, and NXT Champion Johnny Curtis.

Layfield: Who do you think you are, Montel? You think that it is OK to come out here and demand things from your boss!? I am the general manager, so you do what I say at all times. However, you make a valid point. Tonight, both myself and Langston are banned from ringside. Watson won't be allowed down to the ring, either.

Curtis seems shocked.

Johnny: What exactly are you doing, Layfield? I thought we had an agreement!

Layfield: I came here to make you a better wrestler, not to bail you out every time you are about to lose. Tonight, you need to prove to me that I made the right decision to come back. If you do in fact lose, we are going to have serious problems.

Johnny is extremely frustrated, but MVP isn't convinced.

Montel: Do you guys really think that I believe any of this? Layfield, I have known you for a long time. You aren't exactly the type of guy who cares about earning things the right way. You reach your goals by all means necessary and tonight will be no different.

Layfield shakes his head before heading to the back. Meanwhile, Johnny doesn't move, still shocked about the news by Layfield.

8 of 14

Luke comes out first to a pretty good reaction. He gets in the ring and grabs a mic.

Luke: Tonight's main event is for the NXT World Title, yet I'm not part of the match. The fact that Johnny Curtis, a man who did nothing after being handed a spot on Smackdown, is champ makes me sick. I am easily the best wrestler to ever step in an NXT ring and I vow to not lose another match until the NXT Championship is mine!

Titus comes out and interrupts the arrogant superstar.

Titus: Slow down, Robinson! You have been here for just two weeks and have only wrestled in one match! I have stayed committed through it all, which is way if anybody deserved that title, it's me!

Luke: You have been here for quite some time O'Neil, and for that I respect you. However, through all that time, you haven't proved yourself to be a dominant competitor. In just two weeks, I have already shown that I am undoubtedly better than you. And in case you need further evidence, I will prove it right now!

Robinson leaves the ring as the referee tends to Titus.

Promo #2: Johnny Curtis Backstage

10 of 14

Backstage, Matt Striker is with Johnny Curtis.

Matt: Tonight, you will be out there alone in your match. What are your thoughts on General Manager JBL's decision?

Johnny: If MVP thinks for a minute that I am at a disadvantage without JBL at ringside, he is wrong. I am NXT World Champ for a reason. There is nobody who can stop me! MVP will suffer the same fate he did just two weeks ago. But this time, he won't get another shot. After tonight, MVP heads to the back of the line where he belongs.

Matt: As you saw just a few minutes ago, Luke Robinson wants a shot a your title after tonight. What are your thoughts on his chances of taking the gold?

Johnny: While I respect Luke and what he's done is a short amount of time, let's be honest. He's wrestled just two matches in his entire career. I certainly don't consider him a threat to my title. If he wants to make it big time, he is going to have to do more than beat a couple of nobodies.
