One thing we know for sure is that Super Bowl XLVI is going to get started on a good note.
No, it has nothing to do with Eli Manning, Tom Brady or any of the players. The mood will be set right with a good rendition of the National Anthem.
This isn't always the case at Super Bowls, or any sporting events. But Clarkson is not a rookie to the National Anthem on the big stage.

Listen to that anthem. She not only sang it well, but more importantly, she stayed true to the song. Performers too often forget that performing the National Anthem is not a concert. It is their job to get out there, sing the song well and clear the stage for the real show, which is the game.
The National Anthem is not meant to be the length of the first quarter, which too many people seem to forget sometimes.
As we saw earlier, Clarkson has proven before that she will stay true to the song. That is something that we must all be happy about.
Super Bowl Sunday is a day to be excited. It is the biggest day of the year for the biggest sport in the country. Even if you're not a fan of either team, that should be plenty good enough to get your juices flowing.
Nothing stops the excitement of the Super Bowl like this.
At the very least, we know that Clarkson won't do that. The true National Anthem will be performed, the players, coaches, fans and viewers will all be awake, and we'll be ready to get the Super Bowl under way. Few things in this world are better.
