Super Bowl 2012: Why Tom Brady and the Patriots Will Return to Top of NFL

The time is now; Tom Brady is ready to become a Super Bowl champion once again.

Brady didn't play well in the AFC Championship, but he won't have two bad games in a row.

The New England Patriots have a chip on their shoulders; Brady is bound to play well and the New York Giants are overrated.

The Patriots have had a chip on their shoulder all year, and they are ready to explode in the Super Bowl. They hadn't defeated a winning team until the Baltimore Ravens, and they only barely beat them.

Nevertheless, they hear what people are saying, and they are ready to take out the Giants. Against the Denver Broncos, the Patriots destroyed Tim Tebow—and all the surrounding hype—without an issue.

When acting as the underdog, the Patriots are extremely dangerous.

Furthermore, Brady is ready to have a huge game. People have been doubting his team and talking about other quarterbacks all year. Brady is ready to prove those haters wrong.

Brady knows how poorly he played last time out. In fact, he acknowledged it during the trophy ceremony.

Now is when the competitor in him will shine. He's a clutch player, and he knows that everyone (especially the Giants defensive line) is thinking he will fold under the pass rush.

That simply won't happen.

Once Brady shows up, the Pats will still have to beat an overrated Giants team.

That's right, an overrated team.

The Giants are playing really well. The defensive line is putting pressure on the quarterback and Eli Manning is ready to come out of Peyton's shadow.

This isn't the time to do it.

The Patriots defense comes to play when it matters most, and the offensive line has had two weeks to prepare for the elite defensive line they will face.

Look, the Giants are a very good team.

However, their receivers are not as good as people make them out to be. Manning is not as clutch as some people want to believe. And the Patriots will be prepared to take them down.

The Super Bowl will be a great game.

With that said, the Patriots will return to the top because of the chip on their shoulders. Brady will play well and the Giants are due for a letdown.
