Alec Baldwin Is Completely Unnecessary as Host of NFL Honors
There is absolutely no reason to have NFL Honors with Alec Baldwin.
The show doesn't make sense. The host doesn't make sense. The time doesn't really make sense.
There is no reason to have a show where the NFL can hand out awards. They don't need the publicity, and they don't need the big event.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It's just too much.
The NFL is very good at maximizing its value without trying too hard. This award show is the definition of trying too hard.
The NFL should simply announce the winners and leave it at that; there's no need for an extra show.
More importantly, there is no reason to have a host—let alone Baldwin.
Baldwin is a star, and he is a good, clever awards show host. However, there's no reason to have him host this event, mainly because this event doesn't need a host—or need to exist, for that matter.
Baldwin has bigger and better things to do than host this awards show. He is a big star, so it makes sense for the NFL. However, it doesn't make sense for Baldwin.
The show doesn't need to even have a designated host. It doesn't need to become such a huge event. Nevertheless, the NFL insists on doing it.
Finally, the show doesn't make sense at this time.
It should've happened on Pro Bowl weekend. So many more players will already be there, some Super Bowl participants could come and it would make much more sense.
The show doesn't need to happen. If is must happen, there is no reason to have a formal host and show. Furthermore, the show doesn't need to happen this weekend.
At the end of the day, this show is completely unnecessary.
