Super Bowl 2012 Live Stream: NFL and NBC Wise to Broadcast Title Game Online
The NFL and NBC are wise to stream Super Bowl XLVI live online this Sunday.
According to NBC Sports, it's the first time ever that the Super Bowl will be streamed live with so many features.
The features available online will include: "an HD broadcast, DVR-style controls, additional camera angles, in-game highlights, live statistics and interactive elements."

All in all, this is a brilliant move by NBC.
As someone who has suffered through the Sunday workday during previous stages of my life, having access to the biggest sporting event of the year even when there's no access to a television is a godsend on the first Sunday of February.
Just last year, I was forced to miss the first quarter of Super Bowl XLV, in which my beloved Green Bay Packers got off to a hot start despite my presence as a security guard at the local grocery store rather than on the couch in front of the family flat-screen.
Trust me, text message scoring updates do the big game very little justice. I'd rather hear Al Michaels on the call.
This year, if someone is in my position from a year ago, they just need a smart phone in their pocket, and they are likely watching cooler angles of Tom Brady on the sideline than I am at home, and odds are that they are getting paid for doing just that at "work."
Life and time doesn't stop on Super Sunday, even if most sports fans like myself believe that it should. Make it a holiday already, so NBC can save all the awesome features for, you know, television.
But the fact that NBC has put together such a feature for those who won't be near a television is not just wise, it's downright genius.
The NFL does not usually get things right off the field, but this time they did. Kudos, Roger Goodell and league decision makers.
Online overage starts at 2:00 PM ET. according to NBCSports.com, which will broadcast the Super Bowl XLII rematch on its website.
