Super Bowl 2012: Party Foods That Must Be on Everyone's Menu
Everyone knows that the most important part of a Super Bowl party is the food.
Whether you're with close friends, new acquaintances or just random people, you're going to need some grub.
And good grub, at that.

Everyone has their special favorites. That's fine; I'm talking about the food that is a must at every single party.
Chips
Everyone needs chips. They are perfect to snack on. You can grab a lot, a few or just a single chip. Add some dip (french onion, something local or salsa, depending on the chip), and you have one of the best possible snacks.
However, don't be content with a single chip. Be sure to mix it up, guests need variety. Be sure to include potato chips, tortilla chips and some form of Doritos.
Without variety chips lose a lot of luster. The more variety you add, the more success the chips will have.
Appetizers
Chips are a good start, but the food needs to have some substance to it.
Enter appetizers.
Whether it's mini meatballs, mini hot dogs, mozzarella sticks, potato skins or something else, you need some hot appetizers.
Without the appetizers, the chips will get abused. People won't get filled up, and they will be forced to keep eating chips.
Do you want that? Of course not.
With the appetizers, you have the perfect segway from chips to the entree.
Filling Entree
After snacking through the pregame and first half, people will need an entree. The key is to make the entree filling.
Chips and appetizers may start to fill people up, but everyone needs to get a real meal in. While you watch Madonna, why not have some real food to eat?
My personal favorite is barbeque. Chicken, pork and ribs make the perfect full meal. If you can't find some good BBQ, pizza is the best bet.
There's plenty of variety and it's the safest bet. People love pizza and they will be sure to fill themselves up while singing along to "Like a Prayer."
Second Half Grub
This is the key.
A great first half of food will be ruined by a second half choke-job. Make sure you have enough.
Keep the chips out. Re-heat those appetizers. Heck, add more appetizers or some cookies. Just be sure you get through.
It's easy to forget about how long the second half is. You need the dessert.
Whether it's something sweet or something hot, you can't really go wrong. Just make sure to have enough.
