Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"Chapel Hill police found Shane Mularkey, 20-year-old Jacob Groeschen and 21-year-old Nicole Suarez on top of a parking deck on Rosemary Street just after 1 a.m. Friday. The trio appeared to be using cocaine, while drug paraphernalia and a bag containing cocaine residue was also found.
"
The Jaguars coach responded to the situation with a statement:
"“I am grateful for the support that I’ve received from the Jaguars family and apologize for any distraction,” the coach said. “We are attempting to learn more about the situation, and I appreciate everyone’s understanding that this is a private family matter, and therefore we cannot add anything further at this time.”
"
This is an unnecessary distraction for the Jaguars, who have an important few months ahead of them to ensure the team does well at the draft and can return to the playoffs for the first time since 2007.
The Jaguars are a few players on offense away from being a team that can contend for a wild card playoff spot in the AFC.
Mularkey was hired by the Jaguars on January 11 to replace Jack Del Rio as the team's head coach after a disappointing 5-11 season in 2011. Last year, Mularkey was the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons, who were beaten by the New York Giants in the Wild Card round this postseason.
