The Only Raw Review You Need To Read (Jan. 5)

Raw opens with Jericho and Orton in the ring proving how good they are on the mic. I like Michaels entering in JBL's limo. It's hard to tell which pair has more heat; this crowd is HOT.

Jericho still picking at the storyline he had with Michaels last year. In my opinion one of the best in awhile. Throughout that storyline and the present one, it always looks as if Shawn is about to cry. Jericho and Orton in Rumble, Michaels not.

Stephanie comes out, still in black being shot from the bust up, stating this is HER show. She's still trying to take control of the flagship show, which still leaves the possibility for Shane on Smackdown or Vince to come back and take over.

Or Stephanie was responsible for Vince's accident. You find out later, Vince will be back in two weeks.

GOLDUST & MELINA VS. GLAMERELLA   

Good to see Goldust back. Glamfan back, a little predictable but different. I would really like to see Glamerella, Neidhart, and Gail Kim really do something with the Divas. Not trying to be rude, but the Divas are horrible; the only good part is Santino's involvement.

Melina and Beth Phoenix's work was sloppy. Botched throw into the turnbuckle, the whatever that was at the end that Melina was trying was horrible as well.

PUNK VS. REGAL  

Glad to see Punk didn't disappear after his World Title loss. The Intercontinental Title should be taken more seriously, and I think this is a step in the right direction.

Punk chants early. Regal pulling Layla as cover was a nice touch. They were both working pretty stiff. Very disappointing tease. AND I think Layla is going to get Regal disqualified next week.

LOCKER ROOM SEGMENT (JBL and Michaels)

   Odd how Michaels has no lines.

LEGACY SEGMENT

So Manu is out, I really didn't see that coming. He gets a pretty good verbal bashing. He's not that exciting on the mic either.

MIZ & MORRISON VS. KOFI & REY JR.

Wish the tag division was more competitive. Miz & Morrison are a REALLY talented tag team, and I'm going to be really disappointed when they inevitably break them up.

Classic Baby/Heel match. Early on Miz & Morrison start working Kofi's left leg, good psychology. HOT TAG, HOT TAG!!! Really scary back bodydrop from Kofi on the Miz, almost a broken neck.

Fan in front row riding Kofi hard. Nice kip-up rana by Kofi. Nice reverse springboard swinging DDT. Nice finish. Good 10 minute match.

Mike Knox comes out, yada yada yada. I'm getting tired of this guy. He still has Bourne's Slammy.

LOCKER ROOM SEGMENT (Cena and Michaels)

Michaels a tad corny: "I'm no one's puppet!!"

KELLY KELLY VS. JILLIAN

Again, Divas are horrible. Simply put, waste of time.

Kane comes out, the red light the whole time is a nice touch. So Orton is Kelly's boyfriend? I hope they really do something with this, tie in Legacy. They think he's thinking of her and not them. Or Manu and Snuka help Kane.

RHODES & SNUKA VS. CRYME TIME

Rhodes and Snuka come out to the Priceless theme which is weird to me. Snuka is a avid leg slapper, and I read that Vince hates that. Snuka landed hard on apron with his ribs. I really like Rhodes' new finisher.

BACKSTAGE (Legacy)

I don't see why he's getting rid of everyone.

BACKSTAGE (Office) 

Vince back in two weeks. Steph looks dismayed.

ORTON & JERICHO VS CENA & MICHAELS

No more pose from Orton in his entrance. I still don't understand why Cena is SO over, people LOVE this guy. Michaels still looks like he's about to cry.

Jericho pulls a really cool reversal out of the FU. Really this match is just Jericho and Orton getting to show off. The announcers kept calling Orton "The Viper." Pretty decent main event.

Next week it's Michaels vs. Cena with JBL in Michaels corner. Whatever shall happen?
