NFL Honors 2012 TV Schedule: Where to Watch Football Award Show

Eric BowmanMay 31, 2018

On Saturday, several big-time NFL stars will be honored in a special event for the first time ever on television. Live from Indianapolis, the NFL will host the inaugural NFL Honors show, which you can watch on NBC at 9 p.m. ET.

It's the night before the Super Bowl, and there is no better time to hand out the top awards to those who earned it. While the NHL and other major leagues have done awards shows, this will be the first time the NFL has done this.

Let the sparks fly!

With hundreds of celebrities and players attending the show, it will become the premiere red-carpet event of the NFL season. At least for the casual football fans.

The Super Bowl really has become a whole two-week long event for the United States. Having a treat like the award show as an appetizer to the super bowls main course is far better than any satisfaction we get from watching the Pro Bowl.

Alec Baldwin will host the event, and there will be a live performance by Lenny Kravitz. The majority of the awards come courtesy of the Associated Press.

That being said, here's a list of the awards given out at the show.

AP Most Valuable Player

Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year

AP Coach of the Year

Presented by XFINITY, only from Comcast

Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award
