Manchester City Summer Transfer Targets
Manchester City had a relatively quiet transfer window this January, as the only bit of business that was truly an addition was the loaning of David Pizzaro.
The Carlos Tevez saga continues to drag on, but with the run on the horizon, it will hopefully quell that debate at least a little of the time.
However, once the wantaway striker is gone, it will be time for the Citizens to regroup and splash a little cash. That cash could perhaps be spent on one of those listed as follows.
Raul Albiol
1 of 6Goal.com has linked Manchester City with a move for out-of-favor Real Madrid center-back Raul Albiol.
The defender moved to Madrid from Valencia in 2009, but has since fallen out of the good graces of his manager, Jose Mourinho.
Nicolas Gaitan
2 of 6Portuguese side Benfica looks to be willing to sell their young star midfielder, Nicolas Gaitan, this coming summer.
Both Manchester City and Manchester United have been tipped by Metro as possible destinations for the player in the summer.
Stevan Jovetic
3 of 6Fiorentina attacker Stevan Jovetic has been linked with a summer move to England and Manchester City, according to SkySports.com.
The 22-year-old is believed to be a major admirer of the English Premier League and prefers a move to that league.
Eden Hazard
4 of 6Young Belgian attacker Eden Hazard, of French Ligue 1 Oranje side LOSC Lille, continues to be linked with many clubs all across Europe.
Manchester City is one of several clubs that are interested in the youngster, according to the Daily Mail.
Mamadou Sakho
5 of 6Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is believed to be looking at signing Paris St. Germain defender Mamadou Sakho.
The player has been watched, according to TribalFootball.com, and could be used as a means to increase the strength in depth of the current City side this summer.
Robin Van Persie
6 of 6Manchester City could be ready to raid Arsenal at least one more time, as the arrival of Robin Van Persie to the Etihad would give them perhaps the most talented set of attackers in the league on paper.
The Gunners would be sure to put up a good fight, but the deeper pockets of those in Manchester could pry his interest away from the traditions of the Emirates.
Rumors reported by The Sun claimed City were thought to be making an offer during January's recent transfer window.
