Super Bowl Commercials 2012: Power Ranking Animals We Want to See on TV

Tim KeeneyJun 7, 2018

It seems like every year the Super Bowl commercials get better and better, but there's one way to make them even better.

Exotic animals.

You've seen dogs and cats, and maybe even some horses or wild buffalo, sure, but it's time to up the ante a little. Here's a look at what animals we want—nay, need—to see on Super Bowl Sunday.

(Yes, I'm actually writing about this.)

Dinosaurs

Oh, yeah, sure, blah blah blah, dinosaurs are extinct, blah blah blah. Color me unconvinced. Dinosaurs are alive and kicking, they are just living someplace where no one else is.

Like New Jersey.

Okay, even if dinosaurs don't actually exist, Jurassic Park made them look pretty darn realistic, so it could happen. Something with a T-Rex eating Doritos with those little arms, or a pterodactyl beating the Geico caveman in Scrabble by spelling "pterodactyl" would work.

And Chris Bosh, dressed as a raptor, would have to make a cameo.

Dog-Riding Monkeys

Um. Best. Thing. Ever.

The amazing dog-riding monkey in the video above has already performed at the halftime show of the Broncos-Patriots playoff game, so you know it's not nervous to do sporting events. For what it's worth, the Patriots won that game, so Giants fans might see the monkey as a good-luck charm for New England.

What's best about this is that the monkey wouldn't even have to do anything related to the company that bought the commercial. He could just ride around for 30 seconds, followed by a flash of the company's name, and I would buy its product.

It's just that easy with dog-riding monkeys.

Sloths

Because sloths are slow, curious, funny and extremely underrated.

I'm not exactly sure how sloths will help sell products, but much like the dog-riding monkey, their awesomeness pretty much does all the work.

Penguins

Because it looks like they are wearing little tuxedos, and it honestly cannot get any better than that.
