Tim Tebow Skip Bayless Video: Watch ESPN Loudmouth Pester Tim Terrific

There is a scene in the movie Notting Hill where Julia Roberts says to Hugh Grant that she is "just a girl standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her." If you took that line and multiplied it by one million, you still wouldn't approach the cheesiness that was Skip Bayless' interview with Tim Tebow. 

The ESPN "analyst" got the chance to do a sit down with his hero, and it was everything that you would expect an interview with Bayless to be. 

There were some decent questions that Bayless asked, but he had to answer everything he said before he would let Tebow speak. 

While there are a lot of different ways to interview a person, the one thing that you should never do is ask, then answer, then ask. 

Not seen in this clip is a point where Bayless shows Tebow that video by D.J. Steve Porter. What does that have to do with anything? Where is the professionalism?

Tebow must have gone to the Tiger Woods-Derek Jeter school of talking, because he doesn't actually answer any question that Bayless throws his way. It is fascinating to hear him speak because he is so interesting, but he has nothing to say. 

When Bayless asks him about respect, Tebow could go on a tangent about it. Instead, he danced around the question before smiling at Bayless, which was apparently the cue to move on. 

It was right after that question where everything fell apart. Bayless talks about how even Jesus would stand up to defend himself.

Wow. 

Getting into the psyche of Tebow is compelling television. He is polarizing because of the attention that he gets, and it would be interesting to hear his take on all of that. His critics get louder and louder with each passing week.

What does he think about them?

These are all things that could have been asked, or at least asked in a better way than Bayless did. Tebow deserved better than what Bayless gave him in this interview, and we deserved better to figure out what makes the Broncos quarterback tick.
