Stephen A. Smith Video: Watch First Take Star Flip Skip Bayless the Bird
The constant bickering between Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith was getting a little tired, until Smith decided to roll out the middle finger during a taping of the hit sports debate show First Take.
Two old bags that have only one level in which they speak, and that's construction-site loud, were again bickering during a live segment of First Take.
The conversation centered on Tom Brady and Eli Manning—I know, really sexy stuff. I can only imagine that a similar conversation will cause you to get fired up around the water cooler at work.
Well, it may not be a Coke vs. Pepsi argument, but it certainly got these guys riled up to no end. As Smith began answering something absurd and incorrect that Bayless said (I assume this is the case from past experience) Smith decided to flip the bird.
The elongated middle finger gave the nation a few options of what was occurring before their very eyes.
- Smith wants us all to take a flying funky for actually continuing to make First Take a part of our day. He has decided that you have no business making Skip Bayless a star when all he does is say what will anger you, and loudly.
- He is giving Bayless a gesture that every last one of us has dreamt about. I say that literally, as just last week I had a dream that I saw Bayless at a Hometown Buffet where I promptly threw some mac and cheese on his Tebow jersey and flipped him off.
- It was an accident.
Smith has since come out and declared that it was all No. 3, and nothing else. Smith tweeted the following on Thursday after a Twitter firestorm started after the airing.
"Will ya'll stop. I don't care what it looked like. I would never flip ANYONE the Bird—including @RealSkipBayless. Was just talking w/ my hands like that. Folks start nonsense for a reason.
"
I will take Stephen A. Smith at his word. He isn't dumb enough to go waving around such a gesture on live TV, unless he thought it was out of view.
Either way, everyone should watch out for involuntary moments of obscene gestures. It may become viral any moment now.
