Super Bowl Predictions 2012: Winning QB Guaranteed to Be MVP

Wes ODonnellJun 2, 2018

Tom Brady and Eli Manning can get the living crap kicked out of them for three and a half quarters, but one of them will still win the Super Bowl MVP award.

Not only are they too good, but one of them is bound to win the Super Bowl and whether it is a blowout or close game they will ultimately be the deciding factor.

Eli has out-Brady'd Brady in each of the last two meetings and the pair of them are two of, if not the best quarterbacks in crunch time.

When the game is on the line, it wouldn't be shocking to see one of them lead their team down the field for a win, only to be upstaged by the other moments later.

Tom Brady's greatness isn't in numbers or production. In fact, since he's become one of the most statistically dominant QBs in the league, he hasn't won a Super Bowl.

Eli Manning boasts much of the same. Although his brilliance has only truly developed this year, we saw him lead his team to a Super Bowl only four years ago.

Now he's making phenomenal throws with regularity. He adapts and sticks balls on the move with ease and precision, and when he needs to make a throw, he makes it.

The Giants and Patriots coaching staffs are going to have game plans in place to contain these QBs as best as possible. Much like Super Bowl XLII, there will have to be talk of defensive players for anyone other than one of these QBs to win the MVP award.

However, in the end, one them won't be held down for long enough.

If it isn't a defensive battle, one or both quarterbacks will be scoring at will and one of them has to win the game.

When their team does, they'll be the main reason why. As a result, when the game is over, one of them will win the Super Bowl MVP award...again.
