Patriots News: Randy Moss Not Franchised by New England
The Patriots might have just taken an unnecessary gamble. They have chosen not to put the franchise tag on wide receiver Randy Moss.
This leaves Moss open to free agency, which begins Feb. 29. The Patriots are betting that they can re-sign him without the need of a costly franchise tag.
Quarterback Tom Brady sure hopes so. I can just imagine him right now, sitting on his couch, weeping bitterly. His receivers are leaving him left and right!

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Brady has made public his strong desire to have Moss come back with him to New England. Moss has also said all season long how much he enjoys playing with Brady. Odds are that Moss will sign a three year deal keeping him with the Patriots, and all this fun speculation will probably be for naught.
But, just for the fun of it, where could he go if he didn't return to New England? He could go almost anywhere!
Chicago, Buffalo, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Oakland, Philadelphia, Washington, Minnesota, Tampa Bay, and St. Louis are all in need of a good wide receiver. They would all jump on the opportunity to acquire Moss.
There is a slim possibility that the biggest bidding war in NFL history could take place, and it's fun to think about the possibilities...but let's get real.
Why would Patriots GM Robert Kraft let Moss go if a deal wasn't about to be announced?
While others may say that New England's "Moss Experiment" is officially over, my money is going on New England in this new Randy Moss Sweepstakes.
