Super Bowl 2012: 5 Ridiculous Prop Bets You Need to Stay Away from

Tim KeeneyJun 7, 2018

If you love to bet on sports—and who doesn't—then the Super Bowl is probably one of the best times of the year.

That, or one of the most agonizing times.

During Super Sunday, most betting sites will provide a ton of prop bets, or in this year's case, over 300. There is a prop about anything you could possibly think of, but that isn't necessarily a good thing.

Here's a look at some of this year's prop bets, while funny, you need to stay away from.

Coin Toss

This is the only bet on the board where the odds can't possibly change, unless Two Face is flipping the coin.

The odds are 50/50. And the return on a correct guess is -105. That's not a good bet.

Pretty simple, even though tails truly does never fail.

Will Kelly Clarkson's Bare Belly be Showing When She Sings the National Anthem?

Really? A "bare belly" prop?

Nonetheless, Kelly is clearly a good girl. Maybe if she was doing the halftime show, she would show some belly button, but for the National Anthem?

Nah, she's better than that.

Despite "yes" returning +300, this still isn't a good bet.

Will Any Player Get a Penalty For Excessive Celebration in the Game?

The Super Bowl can make players' emotions run high, but there's no way anyone is stupid enough to get a bone-headed penalty like this in the biggest game of the year.

If the game gets out of hand, then maybe, but don't count on it.

Who Will the Super Bowl MVP of the Game Thank First?

OK, this is just ridiculous.

When guys get emotional, you have no idea what they'll say. Stay away from this one.

What Will Happen with the Dow Jones the day after the Super Bowl?

Stock up or stock down? If you can predict how this prop will go, you probably don't need to be betting on NFL in the first place.
