Kyle Dodson to Ohio State: 4-Star OL Snubs Wisconsin to Join Buckeyes

Richard LangfordJun 7, 2018

Urban Meyer strikes again. Offensive line stud Kyle Dodson will be going to Ohio State.

Doug Bean of CBS Sports reported the news that Dodson has decided to become a Buckeye instead of his previously committed school of Wisconsin.

Scout.com has him ranked as the 24th best offensive tackle prospect in the nation.

He is 6'6" and 310 pounds and should instantly be an impact player. He played high school football in Ohio and will now be staying in state to continue his career.

Here is a sampling of a scouting report on Dodson by an ESPN analyst.

"

Dodson has the upper body playing strength to dominate opponents as an inline drive blocker. Has the size with enough athleticism for the offensive tackle position at the major level of competition. However defensive speed could become a challenge down the road; if this occurs, a move inside to guard could be in his future.

"

This is a huge addition for an already stellar recruiting effort for Ohio State. Scout currently has him ranked as the third best recruiting class in the nation.

Urban Meyer and his staff got a late start on recruiting but they are wasting no time making a big impact.

They have now either received commitments or letters of intent from seven of Scout's top 100 players, and judging by the late flip-flop they coerced out of this young man this class may be getting even more impressive.
