Dorial Green-Beckham: Twitter Explodes with Reaction to Missouri Commitment

Dorial Green-Beckham, one of the most highly coveted recruits in years, has committed to the Missouri Tigers. 

This is a huge pickup for Missouri, as many believed Green-Beckham would land elsewhere. As the Tigers get ready for their first season in the SEC, having Green-Beckham on their roster will help attempt to make the transition go over smoothly. 

Of course, it will still be difficult for the Tigers, but Green-Beckham will make an immediate impact, so the potential to win big in the SEC East is definitely there. 

Green-Beckham's surprise decision caused a Twitter explosion, and here are some of the best that came up. 

First, Adam Gorney of Rivals was one of many who broke the news. Green-Beckham made his decision live on ESPNU.

Adam Hoge of CBS points out how good this is for one man in particular. 

Scott Kennedy is the director of scouting at Scout.com and his tweet about Green-Beckham is definitely worth noting. 

That's very high praise for a guy who hasn't even played a down in college yet. 

One fan named Matt, who calls himself thetruth35 made an early prediction of how good Green-Beckham will be for the Tigers. 

Listed at 6'6" and 220 pounds with blazing speed, Green-Beckham should definitely live up to thetruth35's prediction. 

Another fan named Josh Handler chose a different route and praised the Tigers' coaching staff. 

That's not something you see that often, but it should happen more. Fans are quick to bash them when things don't go well, but don't give them enough praise when things are superb. They live for the games and drool over top-notch recruits on national signing day.

The best way to thrive in college football is to dominate recruiting, so when a team does that, the coaches deserve big praise.

The Tigers will definitely be in the running to win the SEC East, and if they win they they'll have the chance to win the SEC Championship game. 

As recent history shows, if you win the SEC, you're going to play in the BCS title game. 

John Hoover of Tulsa World reported on Monday that Green-Beckham would be choosing Missouri, but the wideouts father denied the report. 

Hoover and his sources ended up being right, which prompted him to tweet out this.

By that, I'll take it that he doesn't feel bad. Green-Beckham's recruiting process was one of the biggest secrets in recent years of college football recruiting.

Prior to Hoover's report, many expected Green-Beckham to pick Arkansas, so for Hoover to break the news early and end up being right when so many doubted him, he certainly has a right to be pumped about it.
