Dorial Green-Beckham: Ranking the Best Fits for the 5-Star WR Recruit
Dorial Green-Beckham is one of the most heavily recruited prospects of the last decade. He holds countless scholarship offers and has been coveted by college fanbases for the past two years.
Today he'll end all the speculation once and for all.
Arkansas and Missouri are considered the front-runners. Texas, Oklahoma and Alabama are also reportedly in the mix.
But which school is the best fit?
1. Arkansas
DGB will be able to step on the field and make an immediate impact for the Razorbacks. As a freshman he'll get the opportunity to catch passes from Tyler Wilson that will help his development tremendously.
The Razorbacks play in college football's toughest conference, as the Southeastern features some of the best defenses in the entire country.
If DGB believes he has the opportunity to play football on Sundays, playing in the SEC will do him wonders.
2. Missouri
Staying close to home would bring an unprecedented amount of exposure to the Tigers going into next season when they begin their run in the SEC.
DGB, a native of Springfield, will be remembered as the biggest recruit the Tigers have landed in some time, and should they find success he'll likely be a big part of it.
3. Oklahoma
The Sooners' offensive system would assuredly give DGB an opportunity to shine. Senior quarterback Landry Jones will be back in Norman, and Oklahoma has gone through a string of talented college quarterbacks over the years.
Even after he leaves, they'll be able to find another QB to get the top-flight wide receiver the football.
4. Texas
The Longhorns have a great recruiting class this season and could close with arguably the best in the country if they land DGB.
But Mack Brown's team has struggled with consistency at the quarterback position and they've added yet another top-flight running back as well.
Of the four schools mentioned thus far, Texas is by far the riskiest for the receiver.
5. Alabama
Much of the same that stands for Arkansas' SEC chops obviously goes for the reigning BCS champions. The Tide also have a need for a big-play wide receiver like DGB and have an improving quarterback in A.J. McCarron.
The Crimson Tide are easily the biggest long shot and some would say they're out of the race entirely, but DGB could be great in Tuscaloosa.
