Dorial Green Beckham: Last-Minute Predictions for the Nation's No. 1 Recruit
National Signing Day has finally arrived, which means we will quickly find out where some of the top players in the country are going to end up.
One of the most covered players in this year's recruiting class is wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham out of Springfield, Missouri. He's 6'6", 220 pounds and runs the 40 in the 4.4 range. He's the ultimate deep threat, can get down field in a hurry and towers over nearly anybody that will be covering him in the secondary. He's really any coach's dream and whichever team ends up landing him will really have hit the jackpot.
He will make his decision at 10:15 a.m. this morning at his high school, Hillcrest High. After receiving offers from nearly every major school in the country, he has cut his list down to just Arkansas, Missouri and Texas.
So, where will he go?
I've been predicting for the last couple of weeks that he will become a Missouri Tiger and I'm sticking with that pick. There were reports released recently that he will end up picking Missouri, although they were later denied by his father. Regardless, any time sources claim that a player is going somewhere and the tables turn so drastically, they're usually right.
Before everybody had him going to Arkansas and now it seems like the race is a lot tighter for the 5-star prospect's services. He'll make his decision at his high school in Missouri and I think it'll be too difficult to tell everybody in the building that he will go anywhere but home.
Arkansas has had a lot to offer and have been declared the frontrunner, but Missouri has a lot of similar things to offer as well. They will also be playing in the SEC, they also have a talented team with weapons on the offense and are a team on the rise much like Arkansas.
I believe it's a toss-up between Arkansas and Missouri, with Texas having only a punchers chance. But if I had to predict where he's going, I'm sticking with my pick and the home school. I think the No. 1 overall prospect in this year's recruiting class becomes a Missouri Tiger.
