NBA Daily Worst: Kevin Love's Manhood Threatened, Hibbert Gets Posterized & More
Welcome back to the daily worst where every day we look at the worst plays from the day before. Let other people worry about the "best" stuff, we're focusing on the worst. As always, there were no players hated in the production of this article. They got here the old fashioned way, they didn't earn it.
Worst Protection of the Jewels
First up we have to make up for one we missed yesterday. Poor Kevin Love was just standing innocently around as Luis Scola tries to get the ball off him. Unfortunately for Love he gets hit in the "love stomach."
Worst Call
With the game on the line, Darren Collison clearly loses control of the ball and tosses it out of bounds. He gets the benefit of a really bad call though, and the refs get it wrong after going to the replay.
How do you look at this on the replay and not see that Collison was the last one to touch to the ball? His hand is on the ball four-feet away from Farmar! See the footage at the 1:52 mark of the clip.
Worst Predicament
Trying to defend Nate Robinson is pretty difficult as it is. After all, he's one of the quickest players in the league. Trying to do it in one shoe is even more difficult. Isiah Thomas does his best, but what are you going to do? Socks really don't give you very good traction. See it at the 52-second mark.
Worst Posterization
Deron Williams needed a New Jersey poster. Roy Hibbert guest stars.
Daily Awards
Every day we give out three daily awards. The Bakers Award, given to the player that made the most turnovers in the first one. Today that goes to Greg Monroe, who had six turnovers and a whopping zero assists to go with that. That's not a very good ratio.
Our next award is the Upchucker Award who goes to the player who wasn't feeling it, but kept trying anyway and continued to shoot until he made us want to vomit. Today's recipient is Danilo Gallinari who was a whopping 1-for-10 last night.
Finally, we are giving out the Quote of the Day, going to the player who made the funniest comment. Today's award goes to Kobe Bryant, whose line comes from this Beto Duran tweet .
