Super Bowl 2012: Ranking the Week's 10 Best Parties

Amelia AhlgrenJun 7, 2018

While the New England Patriots and the New York Giants prepare for Sunday's big event with rigorous physical training and extensive tape study, the rest of us will use the opportunity to celebrate.

After the Fourth of July, the Super Bowl gives America the second-best reason to party.

Thinking about getting your "yo soy fiesta" on in Indianapolis?

Let's get you prepared.

Here's a look at the top 10 parties of the week.

10. Jaws' Indianapolis Cigar Party

1 of 10

Head to Ron Jaworski's fiesta, Jaws' Indianapolis Cigar Party, to keep it classy this Super Bowl weekend.

Not only will you enjoy premium cigars and fine single-malt scotch, you will also be supporting a good cause.

At $500 a ticket, the proceeds will benefit the Jaws Youth Playbook Foundation and Gleaners Food Bank's BackSack program.

Plus, Jaws will be there with some of his ESPN boothmates.

The event goes down Feb. 3 at Nicky Blaine's Cocktail Lounge in downtown Indianapolis.

9. ESPN Super Bowl NEXT Party

2 of 10

ESPN's Super Bowl party is named NEXT to highlight ESPN Magazine's NEXT campaign, featuring young and upcoming talent.

In years past, ESPN has kept this party to just the invited elite, but this year they're offering limited tickets that will set you back at least $825.

Come out this Friday to hear Grammy nominee Drake, who will headline the event.

Last year, Reggie Bush, Jermichael Finley and Ndamukong Suh came out to jam with Kid Rock.

Even Lindsay Lohan, in her earlier days, paid the party a visit.

8. Leather & Laces Part I

3 of 10

Leather & Laces is described as one of the sexiest places to be during Super Bowl weekend, and it looks to live up to the hype.

This party packs enough punch to sustain for two nights, with Part I starting at 9 pm on Friday, Feb. 3.

Part I hosts are the sultry Jenny McCarthy, Carmen Electra and Jersey Shore's own J-Woww and DJ Pauly D.

Leather & Laces is sure to provide your weekend dose of glitz and glamour.

7. Ciroc Vodka X's & O's Party

4 of 10

For the money-minded superstars out there, X's and O's has got you covered. You can come to this one for $175 a person.

In honor of the Super Bowl, the former Borders in downtown Indianapolis will transform into a vogue venue called Super Lounge 46.

Sport your Air Force Ones this Friday night to kick off Super Bowl weekend with acclaimed rapper Nelly.

6.. Saturday Night Celebration

5 of 10

Super Lounge 46 wasn't turned into a nightclub for just one night of partying.

Indianapolis Colt Reggie Wayne and actor Nick Cannon will also use the venue to host the encore to Ciroc's X's and O's party: Saturday Night Celebration.

With low general admission and a DJ performance by Salt-n-Pepa's Spinderella, the Saturday Night Celebration certainly makes the cut as one of the top 10 parties in Indy this weekend.

5. Super Bowl Maxim Party

6 of 10

Maxim is hosting its 12th annual Super Bowl party on the Indiana State Fairgrounds this Saturday night.

At two grand a ticket, this invite-only event guarantees photo ops with Maxim girls. It will also feature go-go dancers and a 40-foot red carpet.

Last year in Dallas, Wyclef Jean unexpectedly stopped in to perform with Jason Derulo.

Also in attendance last year?

Chad Ochocinco, among others.

Though something tells me No. 85 won't be sipping on top-shelf cocktails this Saturday night.

4. Super Bowl Game Day Pregame Party

7 of 10

Some say the pregame is better than the game itself.

That wisdom may not be true when it comes to the Super Bowl, but you may as well enjoy yourself as you sweat out the possibilities of what could go down in the big game.

Come out to the Indiana State Museum for the Super Bowl Game Day Pregame Party, which features celebrity chef Paula Deen and a talk with Hall of Fame inductee Archie Manning.

You'll be surrounded by the good vibes of the Lamar Hunt and Vince Lombardi trophies as you "lube up" for game day.

Tickets are $500. Pregame starts Sunday at 11 am.

3. Super Bowl NFL Tailgate Party

8 of 10

Super Bowl weekend would not be complete without a proper tailgate—and the folks at Rolling Stone know how to throw one.

No doubt, this will be on the higher end of tailgates you've attended.

Jane's Addiction and the Roots will perform live music for your listening pleasure, while Pete Wentz, bassist of Fall Out Boy, will DJ.

You can kick back and enjoy the afternoon as Celebrity Chef (bet you've never had one of these at any of your prior tailgates) John Besh whips up plates that pay homage to Indianapolis, New York and Boston.

The event begins Sunday at 1 pm at The Crane Bay. The venue is within walking distance of Lucas Oil Stadium.

Unlike your other tailgates, this one will set you back $500, but when in Indy...

2. Legends 'N' Models

9 of 10

Victoria's Secret model and Leonardo DiCaprio girlfriend Erin Heatherton teams up with some fellow VS Angels up to bring you this one.

Travie McCoy and DJ Reach will bring the music this Saturday with an interlude performance by Grammy award winner John Legend.

This throwdown is one of the cheaper VIP parties you'll find in Indy this weekend.

Tickets start at just $200, so you might as well go to see it if you can land yourself an angel.

1. Rolling Stone Hosts the Bacardi Bash

10 of 10

Rolling Stone's Bacardi Bash is at the top of my Super Bowl party wish list.

With a tagline like "celebrating 150 years of the party!" how can you go wrong?

The Crane Bay, a factory-turned-bar two blocks from Lucas Oil Stadium, will host the affair.

This blowout promises the best lineup of artists that Indy has to offer this weekend. You can catch live performances by L.M.F.A.O., Lupe Fiasco, Cobra Starship and the Gym Class Heroes all in one spot.

Although the celebrities are invited by Rolling Stone, the general public can can buy tickets at $1,000 a pop.

There are also opportunities to win your way in.

After a full night of partying and a five-hour open bar, you are likely to wake up Sunday afternoon just in time for the Rolling Stone tailgate.
