The NHL has the coolest throwback jerseys of any sport, and teams often times pay tribute to these famous threads and wear them on certain nights throughout the season.

Teams don't wear throwback jerseys enough in hockey, but when they do the crowd almost always seems to like it.

Let's look at the 20-best throwback jerseys ever worn.

Detroit Red Wings

Although they don't wear them too often, the Detroit Red Wings sometimes will break out their jersey from the 1928 season.

Toronto St. Pats

Throughout most of the 1920s, the Toronto Maple Leafs were known as the Toronto St. Pats. During the 2002 season they wore these green throwback jerseys a few times.
