Dorial Green-Beckham to Missouri: Tigers Land 5-Star WR Prospect
The player many feel is the best prospect in the nation, WR Dorial Green-Beckham, has committed to Missouri, according to Adam Gorney of Rivals.
This is a huge addition for Missouri. Green Beckham is as promising a wide receiver prospect as you will ever see.
He has the size of a tight end, but runs like a wide receiver. Rivals.com, one of the places that has him as the No. 1 recruit, lists him as 6'6" and 220 pounds. And get this, they say he runs the 40 in 4.43.
One of the analysts for ESPNU, one of the few places that doesn't have him as the No. 1 recruit—they have him at No. 3, has this to say in their scouting report.
"This guy is a hybrid of Julio Jones and Calvin Johnson and what makes Green-Beckham unique from other big wide receivers is he is a flexible athlete with fluid movements and quick-twitch athleticism. He is big, strong, rangy and deceptively quick for his size. Possesses a mammoth wingspan and plays the game like a basketball player on grass (he is actually a very good basketball player, not surprising). He is an imposing figure off the line with a combination of quickness and strength to gain ground and position off the ball.
"
Here is a glimpse of his skills in action.
Green-Beckham has all the weapons a team looks for. He will be a dominant receiver the second he steps onto the college field, and if he maintains this athleticism he will dominate on Sundays someday.
Throw a party Tigers' fans. You landed a true gem.
