Jordan Diamond to Auburn: Tigers Land 4-Star OT Prospect
Jordan Diamond, a talented 4-star offensive tackle prospect, has signed with Auburn according to the Opelika-Auburn News.
Diamond has great size and strength, standing 6'6" tall and weighing 289 pounds, and will be a solid player for the Tigers.
One of his best strengths is his ability to protect the quarterback, and his long arms help him fend off quality pass-rushers form getting deep into the backfield.
His quickness, however, needs to improve because speedy pass-rushers in college will get around him if he doesn't improve his quickness over the summer. A four-year varsity player in high school, Diamond has shown the ability to improve during his time at Simeon Vocational, and there's no reason to believe he cannot get better at Auburn.
The position that suits him best at the collegiate level is probably right tackle, a position he excelled at during his time with Simeon Vocational High School in Chicago.
Gene Chizik should be pleased that Jordan Diamond has chosen to sign with the Tigers.
