Nelson Agholor to USC: Trojans Land 5-Star WR Prospect
Receiver Nelson Agholor has signed with USC, boosting the school's recruiting class significantly.
Agholor will be a nice addition for quarterback Matt Barkley, who decided not to declare for the NFL draft this year. Agholor has the potential to be the No. 3 receiver alongside Robert Woods and Marqise Lee and step in as the feature receiver down the line.
Agholor is Nigerian and his parents moved the family to the United States when he was five years old. Agholor hails from Berkley Prep in Florida, and as you can see, it appears he plays much faster than the 4.6 speed at which he was clocked.
He starred as an RB at Berkley Prep, but most believe he will be a receiver in college.
Agholor is the No. 18-ranked player in the nation, and third most highly-touted receiver, per rivals.com. ESPNU ranks him significantly lower at 47th overall. There are some questions about his height; some wonder if he is indeed 6'1".
He has drawn comparisons to St. Louis Rams receiver Brandon Lloyd because of his great hands. He has good speed, with a 40 time clocked at 4.59, per ESPN.com.
He demonstrates good burst and has great versatility as a runner and kick returner. Agholor could be one of the most explosive athletes in this year's recruiting class.
