Georgia Tech's annual Spring Football Game will be a bit different this year.  The Yellow Jackets will display their 2012 team under the "Friday Night Lights" at Bobby Dodd Stadium on April 20th at 7pm.

This is an unusual move, as almost all NCAA spring games are on Saturdays.

The game time and date were announced around 4pm EST via the Georgia Tech Athletics Facebook page with the following message: "Mark your calendars - We have scheduled our 2012 Spring Football Game. We will play the game under the lights at Bobby Dodd Stadium on Friday, April 20th. We are planning activities for both pre- and post-game with everything beginning at 7pm. Go Jackets!"

There will be more events surrounding this game announced as it draws nearer.

I will be in attendance and I hope to see the seats more full than usual without the heat and direct sun of the usual 12pm spring game roast-fest.  If the weather holds out, this should be a refreshing change.
