NBA Daily Worst: Blake Griffin Destroys Perkins, Vince Carter Gets Screwed, More
Welcome back to the Daily Worst, where every day we look at the worst plays of the day and the most embarrassing moments every day. As always no players or teams were hated in the production of this article.
Worst Mozgoving
Timofey Mozgov was humiliated last year by Blake Griffin with a dunk that could have been an episode of Law and Order SVU. He did the same thing last night to Kendrick Perkins, only Perkins tried to fight it. He sticks his hands up as though to try and push back and say, "Don't Mozgov me! Don't mpphhhmhhpp mhpp."
Worst Luck
Vince Carter had something going here, but he didn't get the two on what has to be one of the craziest flukiest shots you'll ever seeing trying to get the call.
Most Girly Shot
There's something about Dunleavy's shot at 43 seconds of this video that just makes you believe in his mind, as he was going for it, he was thinking "see how PRETTY!"
Worst Acting Job
Ricky Rubio best not be looking to land a job in LA anytime soon, but if you have acting chops like this, you aren't getting anything in Hollywood. Got to love the way he stuck to the role though, and continued to try and sell it after the play was over, looking around for a ref.
Worst Collapse
At this point, all you can say is someone broke Orlando. One player said, " But there is a lot of tension when you're losing, so Stan sort of gets tuned out. It's not his fault, but it is what it is." Maybe that explains this.
Daily Awards
Every day we give out two awards. The first award is the Bakers Award, which goes to the player that has the most turnovers. In cases of ties, the tie-breaker is the least assists.
Today, the award goes to Wesley Johnson, who had a horrendous game, with six turnovers, three rebounds and four steals. When your biggest number in your stat line is turnovers, that's just bad.
We're splitting the Upchucker Award today between Hedo Turkoglu and Rudy Gay. Turkoglu went 1-of-9 from the field. Gay was 0-for-7 and had the worst scoring total since his rookie year, one point.
Best Quote
Finally we're starting a new award today, for the best quote of the night. The first honoree is Joakim Noah. The KC Johnson tweet says it all.
