NHL All-Star Game 2012: Drake Headlines Star-Studded Entertainment Lineup

Toronto born rapper Drake headlines a star-studded entertainment lineup at the 2012 NHL All-Star Game in Ottawa on Sunday afternoon.

The hip-hop star's most recent album, Take Care, is currently No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. It will be interesting to see if he is booed by the Ottawa fans in attendance since he's from Toronto. All the Maple Leafs players have been booed heavily at every All-Star event from the Senators fans because of the two teams' rivalry.

Drake will be joined on Sunday by The Voice winner Javier Colon and singer-rapper Outasight.

Here is the order of musical performances for the All-Star Game:

• Player Introductions: Outasight performing hit single "Tonight is the Night"
• Javier Colon will sing the American national anthem, while famous Ottawa anthem singer Lyndon Slewidge will perform the Canadian national anthem
• Drake will perform during the second intermission

This is a solid lineup the NHL has selected for it's mid-season extravaganza. Drake is a talented artist and is really popular in Canada and the United States, which makes him the perfect candidate to headline the performances.

Since this year's All-Star Game is being played in Canada, it was crucial that the league find someone who will make both Canadian and American audiences watch the entertainment before the game and between periods and Drake is the best available option for that.

He's no stranger to performing in front of massive audiences and will certainly put on a great show for everyone at Scotiabank Place and people watching across the globe on television.
