WWE Royal Rumble 2012 Results: Who Came out of the Cage as World Champion?

The Royal Rumble is underway and the first match of the night was for the World Title. Big Show got the only face reaction of the three men involved when he came out.

The match began with the official intros. Big Show took control early on by beating down Bryan and ramming Henry into the side of the cage.

Bryan played the heel really well as he tried to escape multiple times early on. Henry and Show were the ones who were in control for most of the early part of the match.

As the match progressed, Bryan got in some offense, but Show and Henry still had control for most of the match. At one point, Bryan looked like he was going to make Show tap before Henry kicked him in the face.

Bryan ended up getting the win to retain his World Title in what looked like it could have been a botched finish.

Show was holding onto Bryan's wrist as he was over the wall of the cage, but it looked like Show dropped him on accident and Bryan ended up winning.

I am not sure what the initial outcome was supposed to be, but it is possible that this was the intended outcome.

The match seemed too short for a World Title PPV match. It ended at almost exactly 12 minutes into the PPV and when you consider the show's opening video, the entrances and introductions before the match and you have a World Title match that was south of the 10-minute mark.

I am happy Bryan retained because I was afraid WWE might pull the belt off of him before WrestleMania, which is still a possibility given the fact that there are several weeks of shows and another PPV between now and then.

Bryan celebrated on top of the stage screaming "YES" over and over as the next video package began to play.

It was a decent match fer the three, with Bryan getting in some good advancement on his heel character.
