Royal Rumble 2012 Predictions: The Miz and Favorites To Win Rumble

The Royal Rumble match is one of the most exciting matches that the WWE puts on. This year, the field is as wide open as ever. These three wrestlers have the best chance at being the last man standing and heading on to WrestleMania XXVIII in a high-profiled championship match.

The Miz 

The Miz has to enter the Royal Rumble at No. 1. However, twice the winner of the Royal Rumble has entered at No. 1 and then has gone on to be the last man standing. 

With CM Punk needing an opponent for WrestleMania XXVIII, the Miz would be a perfect challenger to Punk’s WWE Title.  

Miz has proven that he can bring in big buy rates for a high-profiled match, like he did at last year’s WrestleMania main event match. The WWE hasn’t had someone go the distance since Chris Benoit did in 2004. It seems this year could be the third time they pull this off. 

Randy Orton 

Orton did comeback at the last Smackdown taping to remind everyone that he is a viable threat to win the Royal Rumble match.  

To protect Orton from further injuring his back, he could enter the match at No. 25-29. This would keep him from working the match and having to put strain on his injured back. Entering that late into the match, Orton could eliminate a handful of wrestlers quickly, thus getting the match down to the final four.  

Then, he would eliminate someone like Wade Barrett, while the other two wrestlers eliminate one or the other, thus getting it down to the final two.  

Shortly there after, Orton would eliminate the final participant in the match, winning the match and getting that major pop to send the fans home happy. 

R-Truth 

Truth scored a big victory over The Miz at last week’s Raw. With the victory, Miz has to enter the Royal Rumble match at No. 1 and they could announce at the pay-per-view that Truth won the right to enter at No. 30.  

Having Truth come into the match in the mid-to-late 20‘s would give some doubt as to who the winner of the match will be. R-Truth has really connected with the fans since he came back from his suspension.  

Could the WWE be giving R-Truth a big push since his gimmick is taking off with the fans? 

These three wrestlers all have a serious chance at winning the Royal Rumble. It will be interesting to see who is the last man standing.
