Mankind 30 Rock Video: Watch WWE Star and Phillie Phanatic Star on Hit TV Show

What happens when you get two of my favorite people in the world on the screen for an episode of the hit show 30 Rock?

You get absolute madness that includes the Philadelphia Phillies’ mascot Phillie Phanatic and WWE legend Mick Foley in a side splitting episode.

Let’s start with Mick Foley and his acting abilities. As much as people want to make fun of wrestling and how it’s staged, it takes quite a bit of acting skills to pull off the things that wrestlers do.

Foley was always great at cutting promos, so his venture into the television realm is something that I am surprised hasn’t happened much before. The hope is that if this episode has success, Foley could find himself with far more acting parts.

While his scene was excellent, it had nothing on the scene with the Phillie Phanatic.

As a Philadelphia native, I can say with no bias at all that the Phanatic is the greatest mascot in the history of mascots. That’s a fact, look it up.

Now you have the Phanatic receiving the wrong cake and then explaining how he was a sea king trapped inside the body of a mascot. It’s just pure gold.

The combination of one episode featuring these two megastars is a dream come true for NBC, and I have no doubt that their ratings saw a huge spike. Or not.

At least I enjoyed it.
