2012 Super Bowl Prop Bets: Advice for the Craziest Props

I went back and reviewed the footage, and I have Christina Aguilera's rendition of the national anthem at last year's Super Bowl at roughly one minute and 55 seconds.

However, her rendition featured more than a couple awkward pauses and long shrieks, one of which came on the heels of a flubbed line. Take out the shrieks and the pauses, and she probably finishes at closer to a minute and 30 seconds.

Kelly Clarkson is going to be acutely aware of how badly Aguilera embarrassed herself last year, so I don't expect her to get too carried away with her rendition. She'll keep it short and sweet. A minute and 30 seconds is a reasonable expectation.

Do we know for a fact that Madonna is a natural blond?

No, we don't. She did, however, once have a tour called the "Blond Ambition World Tour," so she does seem to have some affection for her hair color, be it natural or by choice.

Throughout Madonna's career, though, she's never been afraid to mix up her hair color. Punch in her name in Google images and you'll see what I mean. She's an eccentric one.

It's a tough call, but I'm going to have to go with other here. Going blond would be too predictable.

How Many Times Will Peyton Manning Be Shown on TV During the Game?

The Super Bowl is going to be played in his home stadium and his brother, Eli, plays quarterback for the Giants.

As if that wasn't enough, Peyton is coming off a season in which he didn't play and nobody is sure if he's going to be back with the Indianapolis Colts in 2012. He's going to be the biggest non-Super Bowl story at the Super Bowl this year.

So yeah, I'd go waaaaaaay over.

How Many Times Will Gisele Bundchen Be Shown on TV During the Game?

Over/Under: 0.5

If the Super Bowl was being shown on Fox this year, I have a feeling the over would be much higher. Fox and hot babes tend to go together.

The game will be on NBC this year, but I'm sure even they will look to find Tom Brady's beloved wife at least once throughout the course of the game. 

This is, of course, assuming she'll be there.

How Many Times Will Andrew Luck Be Mentioned on TV During the Game?

Andrew Luck is the best player in the 2012 draft class, and he's considered to be the overwhelming favorite to be picked No. 1 overall by the Indianapolis Colts.

This matters because Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth are likely going to mention Luck every time Manning is given a little screen time. 

I'd take the over.

How Many Times Will David Tyree's 2008 Super Bowl Catch be Shown on TV During the Game?

If you don't recall, we're talking about this catch:

That was one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history, and it would eventually give the Giants a go-ahead score. That score gave them a win over a Patriots team that came into the game undefeated.

It was kind of a big deal.

My guess is that the catch will be shown once in the first half and at least once in the second half. Take the over.

What Color Gatorade Will Be Dumped on the Winning Head Coach?

I'm going to be honest. There's no point in doing research for this one. It's possible that all six of these options will be available at the game, meaning that this one is a total luck of the draw bet.

So my advice is to place a small bet on a big underdog. Go green or blue here.
