Super Bowl 2012: Power Ranking the Can't-Miss Parties in Indianapolis This Week

Zack PumerantzJun 5, 2018

Just like any past Super Bowl, the Indianapolis festivities will be in abundance this year. Crowded streets, inebriated diehards, the madness continues to inch closer.

As we prepare for the epic rematch between the Pats and G-Men, now's a perfect time to check out the craziest parties in store for next week.

From cliched chip-and-dip reunions to chaotic dance parties, we'll cover it all.

Let's take a look at the can't-miss spots to party during Super Bowl XLVI.

Get ready to call in sick on Monday.

17. Pepsi Musica Super Bowl Fan Jam: Wednesday, Feb. 1

1 of 17

Indiana Convention Center

General Admission: $60

Picture this: Your sizzling toes get the enjoyable pleasure of dancing to Latin sensations Don Omar and Larry Hernandez.

For the first night of partying, tossing down shots of Tequila and screaming "El Rey" endlessly is quite the start.

16. Jim McMahon's Swang 'n' Super Bowl Charity Bash: Thursday, Feb. 2

2 of 17

The Rathskeller

General Admission: $300

VIP: $600

With a lineup that includes two-time champion quarterback Jim McMahon, the legendary Mike Ditka and the gaudy Michael Irvin, how can you possibly be disappointed?

After a rough night of reggaeton inebriation, a quiet night with football legacies is the perfect followup.

15. Leather and Laces Party: Friday, Feb. 3

3 of 17

Regions Bank Building

Lounge: $600

VIP: $1,200

Who can possibly deny this established lineup?

Start pumping your fists in anticipation; these three seem ready to dominate.

14. Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam: Thursday, Feb. 2

4 of 17

Pepsi Coliseum

General Admission: $50

Floor General Admission: $150

Not a Reggaeton fan? Not to fret; the Fan Jam continues on Thursday, with appearances from the All American Rejects, B.O.B. and Gym Class Heroes.

A punk/pop encore seems like a funky, yet effective way to go.

13. Leather and Laces Party: Saturday, Feb. 4

5 of 17

Regions Bank Building

Lounge: $600

VIP: $1,200

Again? Yes, but a different cast.

With that extra cash from your recent lottery win laying around, attending the reunion of the Girls Next Door seems worth every dollar.

Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt. Quite the performance.

12. NFL Alumni Player of the Year Awards Gala: Friday, Feb. 3

6 of 17

Indianapolis Scottish Rite

General Admission: $800

The title may not get your adrenaline flowing, but this award ceremony is sure to feature some intense dancing following a mundane collection of honorable recognitions.

At the very least, a surfeit of sexy celebrities will keep you quite engaged.

11. NFLPA Smocks and Jocks Jazz Brunch: Saturday, Feb. 4

7 of 17

Indianapolis Arts Garden

General Admission: $175

While there's clearly nothing more unfitting than an art auction around Super Bowl time, this special event will have creations done by current and former NFL players, making it almost worth it.

Artwork from these fearless athletes could be quite intriguing.

10. NFLPA Players Party: Friday, Feb. 3

8 of 17

The Warehouse (Plainfield, IN)

General Admission: $475

You can't possibly deny how excited they look; how can you elude the chance to meet them?

With routine food selections, live music and the chance to meet players, you've found the perfect way to get ready for Super Bowl weekend.

9. NFL Alumni Super Bowl Pre-Game Party: Sunday, Feb. 5

9 of 17

Bartini's Martini Lounge

General Admission: $500

Yet another meet-and-greet, this is sure to spark the interest of fans, particularly collectors.

Some entertaining performances on stage, however, could bring the crowd into a frenzy.

8. HDNet-DirecTV Super Bowl Party: Saturday, Feb. 4

10 of 17

Victory Field

VIP: $900

This fun fest will be hosted by two icons, both mired by recent injuries and both stout competitors.

Mark Cuban and Peyton Manning will combine forces to entertain an eager audience at this promising event.

While that tandem sparks our interest, we expect a stellar outing from Katy Perry as well.

7. Super Bowl Tailgate Party: Sunday, Feb. 5

11 of 17

Indiana State Museum

VIP: $700

Who better to party with than the Manning father himself?

Somehow, his Hugh Hefner-pose makes him look like the type of personality who you want to sip on a crisp whiskey with, remembering the good old days.

With Cirque du Soleil and several celebrity chefs making appearances, this is a rare opportunity.

6. Super Bowl Taste of the NFL: Saturday, Feb. 4

12 of 17

Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana

General Admission: $1,300

This just looks like something you want to be a part of.

Simultaneously a food-and-wine tasting and an autograph signing, this momentous event is sure to fill you up.

With country singer Sara Evans performing, however, you might think twice.

5. The Bacardi Bash: Saturday, Feb. 4

13 of 17

The Crane Bay

General Admission: $1,400

We were sold at Bacardi.

But it doesn't end there. Ah, yes, the illustrious Stones are in town and ready to rock.

And they'll be joined by Lupe Fiasco, Gym Class Heroes and LMFAO to create an intriguing, yet arbitrary collection of genres.

What a combination.

4. DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl: Saturday, Feb. 4

14 of 17

Victory Field

VIP: $900

While most of the girls pictured are obviously impressive, this special day will feature an undoubtedly-vicious game of flag football with over 30 professionals who are unafraid to get controversial. Every fan's dream!

Or perhaps the dry-humored Dan Patrick and his nasal tone will excite you enough to drop almost a grand on a potentially life-threatening day.

Convinced.

3. Rolling Stone Super Bowl Tailgate Party: Sunday, Feb. 5

15 of 17

The Crane Bay

General Admission: $700

These guys really never quit. But why a picture of the Roots?

With a lineup also including Jane's Addiction, The Roots and DJ Pete Wentz, gameday will be remembered for more than just football.

2. Maxim Super Bowl Party: Saturday, Feb. 4

16 of 17

Indiana State Fairgrounds

General Admission: $2,000

VIP: $3,000

For photo ops with Maxim girls, it may be a little more expensive, but for their cookie-cutter smiles and unoriginal personalities, we can certainly find a way.

Time to start selling lemonade.

1. Playboy Super Bowl Party: Friday, Feb. 3

17 of 17

Bud Light Hotel

General Admission: $1,800

Not yet, girls; the party hasn't started.

But there's certainly more to come when Playboy is involved. This will be a memorable night for those eager enough to sneak in.

Fans likely won't remember that Ne-Yo performed.
