Manchester United continue to play prominently in the gossip pages, with no shortage of players linked to the Premier League champions over the last week.
We get going with a few who appear to ruling Old Trafford out, however. They include Inter Milan’s Wesley Sneijder, who seems almost certain to remain in Italy until at least the summer. Full story via Talksport.

Japanese striker Shinji Kagawa is rumoured to be interested in joining United, but his club Borussia Dortmund are adamant he won’t be going anywhere in the near future, according to Bangkok Post.
On a more positive note, United have been linked with a swoop for Brazilian international striker Leandro Damiao. Caught offside say Internacional want £24 million for the powerful forward, but it appears a deal wouldn’t happen until the summer.
There’s more hope for United fans—The Mail suggests Sir Alex Ferguson is going after Luka Modric this summer. They say Modric could be theirs for £50 million, and would likely have much more realistic wage demands than a player like Sneijder.
