WWE Royal Rumble 2012: Is the Miz Entering at No.1 a New Push for Him?
Last night on Raw, The Miz lost a match against R-Truth to determine who would enter the Royal Rumble at the unenviable number one spot.
What does this mean?
Is this the beginning of a new push for The Miz, or is he going to fall even further down the card?

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
I, for one, hope it is the former of those two options. When Awesome Truth split, it looked like Miz was going to break back out into the main event scene with R-Truth following once their feud was over.
I think we can safely say that this has not happened with either of these two.
After witnessing the crowd reaction to the match between these two last night, both men are in need of new rivalries. This feud has run its course and hopefully was ended last night.
The whole stipulation that the loser of the match would enter the Rumble in the number one spot would not have even been mentioned if there was no ulterior motive behind it. WWE could have just as easily had a blow-off match between the two and had Miz enter at number one without that stipulation in place.
The Miz has worked extremely hard to reach the level that he has today. He got a lot of flak when he first came into the WWE, but he persevered through all that was thrown his way in a true test of character. Most of us have heard about how he was treated when he first arrived and I would say that not many others were treated the same way.
While he may not be the greatest in ring performer, he is definitely a solid worker. He has better than average mic skills and is very entertaining. He definitely shines as a true heel, in that he looks out for only himself but will work with someone to achieve a common goal if it is to his benefit.
Now would be the perfect time to get him back up around the main event scene as he no longer has to play second fiddle to the rivalry between Cena and Rocky which was a huge hit to his credibility as a threat to anybody.
I'm not saying that he needs to win the Rumble from the number one spot to get another big push, but to have him within the last six or seven guys remaining would definitely help him get back over in the eyes of the fans.
Does Miz deserve another push? I think so. Is this the beginning of that push? I hope so. He has a lot to offer the WWE and this would be a great chance to get him back on track.
