Theo Walcott
Many on this list will comprise of Manchester United players, but I’ll throw Theo Walcott in the mix because I can. He has recorded three goals and four assists in 20 Premier League games.
He is a playmaker. He uses his pace and speed to give him the necessary edge against defenders. Walcott would be higher in this list if only he could be more fluid in the final third.
Nani
Nani can dazzle opponents on the pitch. Sure he can be a little ambitious with the ball at his feet, but he can make things happen unlike few in the world.
He has six goals and seven assists in 21 Premier League games.
Rio Ferdinand
Rio Ferdinand is one of the best central defenders in the world. He has a great sense of direction on the pitch and has a great mind for the game.
He has appeared in 14 Premier League games this season.
If Manchester United takes the game, Ferdinand will be a major reason why.
Wayne Rooney has had a solid Premier League season. He has scored 13 goals and tallied three assists in 19 games this year.
Rooney comes up big in the largest of games and I wouldn’t be shocked if he did it again on Sunday. You know he’s going to shoot (90 shots this season), so he’s bound to hit the target on multiple occasions during a match.
One of those is more than likely going to hit the back of the net.
Robin van Persie
Robin van Persie is easily the best player going in this match on Sunday. His 18 goals and five assists in 21 Premier League games is astonishing.
Just when Arsenal is struggling to find the net or looks to be defeated van Persie somehow finds a way to make a play, winning it for the Gunners.
He has been the most influential to his team this season. If you take his production away, Arsenal is merely an average team in the EPL. You can’t say that about Rooney, Nani, Walcott, etc.
