We Need To See More Personality From WWE Superstars

We used to see a lot of backstage action back in the WWF days, and even when it changed to WWE. The interviews and interaction between wrestlers were almost as frequent as the matches. There has been a bit of a resurgence in the last year or so, but I would like to see something different. Something fresh.

There should be some 30 second skits about the superstars 'at home', or at least in an environment outside of the ring. This would provide comedy and another reason for the fans to watch. Some of my proposed ideas are as follows:

• Mr Kennedy is shopping at a supermarket. He gets into a scuffle with another customer, and it turns into a brawl. He eventually knocks the guy out or 'wins' and grabs a microphone at the check out counter and says 'Misterrrrrrrrrr Kennedyyyyyyyyyyy... Kennedyyyyyyyy'. (This would give him heat as a heel and wouldn't affect his overall persona)
• Shawn Michaels walks into a store and starts looking around when the shopkepper recognises him, but doesn't say anything. HBK walks over to the counter and asks how much an item costs. The shopkeeper tells him the price, but HBK wants to haggle so he says "I'll give you ___ for it". When the shopkeeper refuses the offer HBK stomps his foot on the ground several times setting up for Sweet Chin Music when the shopkeeper eventually gives in.
• Rey Mysterio walking down the street. He sees an elderly woman get her handbag snatched and decides to chase the guy that stole it. Rey's yelling at the guy "Stop! Stop!", but the guy won't slow down. The guy keeps looking over his shoulder and sees Rey catching up to him. He looks around again and sees that Rey is gone. He turns back around to keep running when Rey 619's him off of a light post. (This would add to Rey's 'face' status in WWE)

These are just a few ideas off the top of my head. You could also have a group skit such as:

• Pool diving competition off of the 5-metre (17 feet?) board. Hornswoggle does a tadpole splash. Evan Bourne performs his shooting star splash. Jeff Hardy does a Swanton bomb or Whisper in the Wind. Santino attempts a dive but gets too scared to jump when Cena climbs up and FU's him in. The last dive could be Big Show doing a bomb.
• Weight-lifting competition between Batista, Triple H, Mark Henry, and Santino Marella. Comp finishes when Santino gets pinned under dumbbell.

I would like to see WWE do something like this. As long as the skits don't affect the superstars' overall status as either a face or heel, the skits could potentially add to the amount of heat or love the wrestlers get from the fans.

There could be a skit for almost every superstar, but I could see this being centred around the likes of Santino, Haas, and Hornswoggle. What do you think?
