Joe Flacco Skateboards: BR5, 1/19/12

BR5Jun 7, 2018

Welcome to BR5, your one-stop destination for everything entertaining about sports.

Thursday’s episode of BR5 gets you up-to-date on everything from Rob Lowe’s tweets to Joe Flacco’s skateboarding skills.

Joe Flacco’s neighbors are really nosy.  The poor guy was trying to ride a skateboard in his own driveway when one of his neighbors apparently called the Baltimore Ravens and left a message for Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome.  Flacco thinks the voicemail went something like, "'Hey, man, you got to let Joe Flacco know we're trying to win the Super Bowl around here!  He's at home riding a skateboard.  Somebody's got to let him know what the deal is!'"

More trouble for a Kardashian and her basketball-playing husband.  Lamar Odom, of reality TV’s Khloe & Lamar and the Dallas Mavericks, apparently likes strippers.  An exotic dancer who goes by the name Monae is telling her story to Life & Style magazine.  She says Lamar and some friends spent a few hours enjoying the entertainment with a bottle of champagne and an order of chicken wings.

According to Rob Lowe on Twitter, Peyton Manning is retiring.  Yes, the source is Rob Lowe.  Apparently, many in the Twitter universe felt Lowe’s credentials as the villain in both Tommy Boy and St. Elmo’s Fire make him someone whose Tweets resemble actual news.  The world was briefly buzzing over the news of Manning’s alleged retirement, until his dad, Archie, stepped in and denied Lowe's rumor.

Toccoa Falls College came up just 102 points short of the greatest comeback in the history of basketball.  The unbelievably one-sided game against the Western Carolina Catamounts was 72-17 at the half.  The final score, 141-39, is a new record, and resulted in a 102-point loss for the Eagles.  Way to cover the spread, Catamounts.

Today’s epic fail comes in the form of a tweet from our pal Ken Berger of CBS: “Aaaaaaand ... Glen Davis just got a tech for pulling his shorts down. I'm sorry to have to report this.”
