WWE News: Big Update on Evan Bourne and His Future in WWE, Trying to Get Fired?

Drake OzJun 7, 2018

I may not be a genius, but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out when someone’s made a huge mistake.

And, needless to say, Evan Bourne has done just that.

The WWE announced earlier this week that Bourne was suspended for 60 days for his second violation of the company’s Talent Wellness Program, with this suspension coming just three months after his first one back in November 2011.

Many fans are speculating that this was essentially career suicide on Bourne’s part, and it appears as if that indeed might be the case.

From F4Wonline.com (via WrestleNewz.com):

"

Even before Evan Bourne’s suspension this week, there was a lot of talk within WWE about what his future with the company would be.

"

Of course, this doesn’t leave us any indication of whether or not Bourne will be fired as a result of his recent troubles, but it does lead me to believe that that’s a very real possibility.

If there were doubts about Bourne’s future in the WWE before his most recent suspension, then those doubts likely have increased tenfold since then. Bourne was likely in the doghouse after his first suspension, that only got worse when he reportedly got himself some backstage heat and then, he earned himself a lengthy stay in the doghouse with his second suspension.

As the old saying goes, it’s three strikes and you’re out. Well, Bourne officially now has three strikes—the first suspension, the backstage heat and then the second suspension.

It just remains to be seen whether the WWE will strike Bourne out or let him get another at-bat.

I really like Bourne, and as someone who’s made his fair share of mistakes, I can sympathize with him. But you can’t screw up so many times in such a short span, and expect to keep your job.

Bourne is definitely on thin ice, and unless he turns things around and does some serious brown-nosing, I wouldn’t expect to see him in the WWE at this time next year.

In fact, some fellow WWE wrestlers actually think Bourne is trying to get himself fired. Judging by the looks of things, I wouldn't doubt it.
