NFL Playoffs 2012: Fantasy Football K Rankings for Conference Championships
Here are the Lester’s Legends kicker rankings for the conference championship round of the NFL playoffs.
1. David Akers vs. New York Giants
Akers set the NFL record with 44 FGs during the regular season and tacked on another three in the Niners win over the Saints, and he has had double-digit points in ten of his last thirteen games. The Giants allowed 25 FGs during the regular season and two in their win over the Packers.

2. Stephen Gostkowski vs. Baltimore Ravens
Gostkowski had six extra points and a field goal in the rout of the Broncos. My thinking is that the Ravens will be able to limit some of the scoring and force the Patriots into a few FGs. Gostkowski ranked third in scoring behind 28 FGs and 59 PATs. The Ravens allowed 28 FGs during the regular season and two in the win over the Texans.
3. Billy Cundiff @ New England Patriots
Cundiff had 28 FGs and 38 PATs during the regular season and connected on both of his FG attempts (48, 44) in the win over the Texans. The Patriots are going to score some points, and I believe the Ravens will give them a game. Cundiff’s calf appears fine and he’ll get a chance to show it off against the Pats.
4. Lawrence Tynes @ San Francisco 49ers
The Niners allowed just 22 FGs during the regular season and gave up just one to the high-flying Saints. Tynes kicked just 19 FGs in the regular season, but has four in the playoffs. He missed two of his attempts during the playoffs and is the least trustworthy of the available kickers.
