WWE News: Huge Update on Plans for WWE Hall of Fame's Class of 2012

Drake OzJun 7, 2018

The first two names for the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2012 were revealed on last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, and we know that it’s going to be a star-studded one.

The class will be headlined by the recently retired Edge as well as the Four Horsemen, but those are about the only concrete details we have so far.

Not anymore, though.

We have a huge update on the WWE’s plans for the Class of 2012, including details on why no new inductee was announced on this week’s show and a list of potential inductors.

From PWInsider.com

"

There was no WWE Hall of Fame announcement as they announced two inductees last week to push Hall of Fame ticket sales.

They intend to take their time with the other names. Obviously Mil Mascaras is in and as we mentioned in the Elite section last week, Yokozuna is expected to be inducted as well.

"

There really is no reason to rush the announcements because the vast majority of fans who will attend the the Hall of Fame ceremony have already purchased tickets after the announcements concerning Edge and the Four Horsemen were made.

I’d fully expect Yokozuna to be announced as the next inductee, though, because he was a staple of the WWE during the early to mid-1990s. Even though he will be inducted posthumously, he will still be the third-biggest name in the class and will likely generate some solid late ticket sales once his name is announced.

As for who will be inducting Edge, Yokozuna and the Four Horsemen, PWInsider.com has you covered on that as well:

"

Internally, Alberto Del Rio is expected to induct his uncle, Mil Mascaras. There was talk at Raw this week that Shawn Michaels and HHH, together, would induct the Four Horsemen. HHH pushed personally for the Horsemen induction. Edge has spoken publicly of wanting Christian to induct him. I haven't heard this officially, but would think that The Rock would induct Yokozuna.

"

Most of those inductors make a ton of sense to me, and would certainly make for one heck of a Hall of Fame ceremony.

I’m really interested in seeing Christian induct his best friend Edge and The Rock potentially induct Yokozuna because—let’s face it—anytime The Rock speaks, pure awesomeness comes out of his mouth. He should be a great inductor, as long as he doesn’t take the spotlight away from Yokozuna.

The only inductors I think might change are the Four Horsemen’s. Though Triple H and HBK may end up inducting the stable, JJ Dillon revealed in a recent interview that Dusty Rhodes and Blackjack Mulligan are possible candidates to induct the Horsemen as well.

Regardless, this should be one of the better Hall of Fame ceremonies we’ve seen, and I’m certainly looking forward to it.
