Keith Marshall Video: Watch Top Georgia RB Recruit Beat Malcolm Mitchell in Race
Malcolm Mitchell was easily the biggest impact freshman player for the Georgia Bulldogs this past season. His speed is his best attribute, but the rising sophomore was just beaten by the highly coveted running back recruit Keith Marshall in a 40-yard dash race.
Oh, and Marshall beat him twice.
If it wasn't for Mitchell's explosiveness (which was put on display in the season opener and lasted all year) the Bulldogs may not have been as successful as they were in 2011.
This video is a great sign of things to come for Georgia, as Marshall's speed is just what the Bulldogs need in their backfield.
According to Scout.com, Marshall is the No. 1 running back for the class of 2012. He enrolled early at Georgia, and thanks to social media, fans were given this glorious video.
Last season, the Bulldogs landed the No. 1 running back in the nation, but he failed to deliver on the hype. Isaiah Crowell disappointed some members of the Bulldog Nation because of off the field troubles, as well as some people questioning his toughness.
The addition of Marshall to the team should motivate him to play better, and after this video went viral, it will likely make fans forget about Crowell.
Marshall was praised for having exceptional speed, and here Bulldog fans get to see a glimpse of what the future holds at Georgia.
Of course, Mitchell had some hamstring problems at the end of the season, but he doesn't appear to be struggling in the video.
The race was just for fun, and likely won't happen again anytime soon. These are competitive athletes, though, so Mitchell might want a rematch sometime in the future.
Either way, the Bulldog Nation has something to smile about on this cold winter day.
