Tiger Woods and Tony Romo Make Perfect Partnership for Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Wes ODonnellJun 7, 2018

Tiger Woods hasn't played the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in 10 years, but he's making a comeback this year with the perfect partner.

Tony Romo, star quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, will reportedly walk the links with Woods at next month's tournament.

ESPN Dallas' Todd Archer claims to have a source with knowledge of the pairing despite previous speculation of Woods pairing up with Denver Broncos miracle man Tim Tebow.

Woods will not be venturing into the storm that is now known as "TebowMania," though, and he's better off for it.

Woods and Romo actually got together for a pro-am once before at the AT&T National at Congressional outside Washington D.C. in 2009. The past two years have seen Romo play this event with golf's notorious bad boy John Daly.

Pairing up with Woods will be a welcome change.

The world's former No. 1 golfer is trying to work his way back to form and hasn't won a tournament since 2009. Tony Romo, one of the world's most notorious losers, can learn a thing or two from the golfer.

Woods finally ended his near two-year winless drought in December. Romo missed the playoffs again.

The Cowboys QB has consistently put up big statistics throughout his career, but is just 1-3 in postseason play and has missed the playoffs as many times (three) as he has made them.

Getting together with someone as hell-bent on winning as Woods might be exactly what he needs.
