Frank Caliendo Charles Barkley Video: Watch Comedian Impersonate Sir Loudmouth

Remember Frank Caliendo?

You know, the guy that did a good John Madden impression and rode that to some sort of bizarre gig with FOX where he has a small segment picking an NFL game every week?

On FOX’s pregame show leading up to the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers, Caliendo busted out his Charles Barkley impression.

Barkley has a new Weight Watchers commercial that features a slimmer round mound of rebound. He claims to have lost 38 pounds in only a month.

Caliendo’s take on Barkley—a very tan, bald guy that sports one heck of a cheesy mustache. His accent is mediocre at best aside from when he was “tuuuuurible.” That was spot-on.

Aside from that it’s pretty lame and generic. Poking fun at Barkley is not a new concept.

Get creative with it. Why not bring up trying to impress Shaq, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson on TNT’s Inside the NBA by losing the weight?

Making the transition from talking about cheese to the Green Bay Packers is as predictable as it gets as well. Where’s his joke about Aaron Rodgers and the “Discount Double Check?” Considering it’s a football show, I’d assume there would be some sort of football joke.

That’s OK though. With the playoffs in full swing and the pressure rising by the incompletion, fans need a bit of comic relief … even if it’s making fun of a former player in a completely different sport.
