Tom Brady Reminds NFL, Tim Tebow Fans What an Elite QB Looks Like

Tony SantorsaJun 1, 2018

As "Tebowmania" stormed across the NFL world this past week as Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos upset the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots prepared to make a statement and put Denver in their place.

More specifically, Brady wanted to prove what an elite quarterback looks like. The reigning league MVP completed 26 of his 34 passes, which is an unbelievable 76.5 completion percentage while accumulating 363 yards, throwing six touchdowns and finishing Saturday's 45-10 win with an impressive 137.6 quarterback rating.

Now, how did Tebow fare? Not too well.

Tebow completed only nine of his 26 passes for only 136 yards while failing to score a single touchdown and being sacked five times.

Comparing Tebow to Brady is an obvious unfair comparison, as Brady is clearly light years ahead of Tebow—but this is only Tebow's 16th start in his career.

I do believe that Tebow will be a very successful quarterback in this league, but it's going to take time until he even comes close to reaching Brady's stellar level of play.

What Brady did to Denver was nothing short of amazing. It showed fans across the NFL what an elite quarterback looks like.

When it comes to quarterbacks, Tom Brady is as good as it gets. Forget about Aaron Rodgers, forget about Drew Brees—Brady is the reigning MVP, a three-time Super Bowl winning and simply the NFL's most efficient passer.
