Saints vs. 49ers Video: Watch Tarell Brown's Amazing Leaping Interception

Jeff ChaseJan 14, 2012

While many would argue that he as been perfect all year, New Orleans Saints' quarterback Drew Brees is looking to be having some problems handing the defense of the San Francisco 49ers.

After throwing a first quarter interception to safety Dashon Goldson, Brees was pretty consistent for the next few drives.

The Saints were coming back, closing the lead to just 14-17 while having the ball with just over two minutes left in the half.

With the ball on their own 20 yard line and sitting at three and eight, the Saints had to a big play to get themselves down field.

Brees found wide receiver Devery Henderson down field with only single coverage, and the NFL's leading passer decided to pull the trigger on a potential scoring play.

While it looked like the best option at that point, Brees was unaware that cornerback Tarell Brown could make a huge defensive play like he did.

It didn't even look like Brown was going for the ball, but rather that the ball found itself into his arms.

He went up to block the pass, but it went right over Henderson and found its way into Brown's grasp.

Fortunately for the Saints, it didn't turn into anything as the half closed with the same score.

This 49ers defense doesn't seem to be scared of the best passing attack in the NFL, and it doesn't look as if this will be one of the Brees' prettiest games.

This one is still close, but this is just one of many big plays that have continued to swing the momentum vigorously back and forth.
