NFL Playoff Predictions: 4 Rookies Guaranteed to Dominate on Sunday

Tony SantorsaJun 6, 2018

We all know that anything can happen in the NFL playoffs—and that means any rookie can step up and have themselves a big day.

Over the course of the 2012 season, we have seen stellar play out of the rookie class—especially on some of the remaining playoff teams.

With that being said, let's cut to the chase and take a look at four rookies that are guaranteed to dominate on Sunday.

J.J. Watt

1 of 4

J.J. Watt looked absolutely incredible in his playoff debut against the Cincinnati Bengals in the Houston Texans' 31-10 victory last weekend.

Watt tallied up two tackles and one sack and picked off one pass and returned it for 29 yards for a Houston touchdown.

I firmly believe that Watt can be just as dominate as he was last week against Cinci.

Randall Cobb

2 of 4

At any moment, Randall Cobb could just go off and score a touchdown—he's that explosive.

Cobb is one of the most electric returners in the NFL today as he averaged 27.7 yards per kick return as well as 11.3 yards per punt return.

The Kentucky product finished the season with three total touchdowns.

Torrey Smith

3 of 4

Torrey Smith had himself one incredible rookie season with the Baltimore Ravens.

Smith has emerged as one of the top deep-threat, big play wide receivers in the NFL today as he reeled in 50 passes for 841 yards and seven touchdowns.

If the Ravens are going to beat the Houston Texans, chances are that Smith is going to have a few big catches.

Brooks Reed

4 of 4

Brooks Reed is a pretty effective pass-rusher for the Houston Texans and he can turn it on at anytime.

The Arizona product tallied up 45 tackles and six sacks this season for the Texans. In his first ever playoff last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, he finished the game with a solid five tackles to go along with one sack.

If the Texans want to beat the Baltimore Ravens, they're going to have to get some pressure on Joe Flacco and force him to make mistakes—which means that Reed could have an impressive day.
