Broncos vs. Patriots: Win or Lose, Tim Tebow Should Be Starting QB Next Season
Tim Tebow has done enough in essentially his rookie season to earn the starting quarterback job for next season with the Denver Broncos, whether they defeat the New England Patriots or not.
He’s earned the opportunity to be under center next season.
Has there been any rookie quarterback as maligned as Tebow? Essentially, he is still a rookie yet he receives unbelievably harsh criticism every week on every negative down.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Just when there are reports of him being a drive or two away from being pulled from the starting position last weekend, Tebow does something magical—defeats the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Taking his team from 1-4 to 8-8 and the playoffs is special. Taking that same team to a playoff victory over the team that won the AFC last season is truly amazing.
I know he’s not your typical quarterback. I realize he isn’t going to throw for 4,500 yards in a single season. But how can you possibly argue against what he and the Broncos have done this season?
Defensively, they have been great at not allowing points. Special teams with Matt Prater have been amazing. Tebow and the belief he inspires with his team and the city have been nothing short of spectacular. The coaching staff deserves a ton of credit for making it work.
It’s been a team effort, but Tebow has been the driver. The defense is still 22nd against the rush and 18th against the pass. It has allowed 111 points in the past four games. It’s not like it is a top-five defense or anything.
Just when Tebow seems like he can’t, he can.
People believed he couldn’t win a game in the NFL—he did. People believed he couldn’t take his team to the playoffs in the NFL—he did. People didn’t believe he could win a playoff game—he did.
Tebow struggles passing the ball—I’m pretty sure we all see it. But when it’s all said and done, Tebow somehow finds a way to help his team to a victory. Who can honestly say he can’t continue his winning ways in the future after all he continues to prove?
How could the Broncos not allow Tebow to be their quarterback next season after leading a pathetic 1-4 team to the playoffs? It wouldn’t make sense for them not to give him another opportunity with a complete offseason and first-team reps.
This is a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately type of league. Tebow just got the Broncos to the postseason after a 1-4 start. That productivity should be deserving of another starting job in Denver next season, even if the Broncos get blown out by New England.
